Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies 1 (21.5 ounce) box Fudge brownie mix with chocolate Syrup pouch 2 Eggs 1/4 cup Shortening 1 cup Pecans; chopped 1 (10 ounce) Jar Maraschino cherries, drained, chopped Preheat oven to 375. In bowl, combine brownie mix, chocolate syrup pouch, eggs and shortening. Dough will be stiff. Mix until well blended. Stir in nuts and cherries. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven while still soft and underbaked. Cool on pans for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from pans.
